Please read these terms carefully before using our services.

Last updated: April 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the NUI Driving Instructor Training website (drivinginstructortraining.ie) and the training services we provide. By accessing our website or enrolling in our training programmes, you agree to be bound by these terms.

  • ADI Stage 1, 2 & 3 training (all stages)
  • ADI Check Test preparation and training
  • One-to-one in-car training sessions with no contracts
  • Partnership opportunities for qualified instructors
  • Educational resources and study materials

Training is delivered on a one-to-one basis in-car at locations across Ireland, including Dublin, Galway, and Cork. No contracts are required.

2. Eligibility

To enrol in our ADI training programmes, you must:

  • Hold a full Irish driving licence for a minimum of two years
  • Meet the RSA (Road Safety Authority) requirements for ADI registration
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Have the legal right to work in Ireland

It is your responsibility to ensure you meet the RSA eligibility criteria before enrolling. We are not liable if you are unable to register as an ADI due to failing to meet RSA requirements.

3. Booking and Payment

Booking

Training sessions can be booked by contacting us by phone at (01) 902 3099 or by email. A booking is confirmed once we have agreed on dates, times, and payment has been received or a payment plan has been arranged.

Payment Terms

  • Course fees are as quoted at the time of booking.
  • Payment is required in advance of training sessions unless a payment plan has been agreed in writing.
  • We accept bank transfer and other payment methods as communicated at the time of booking.
  • All prices are quoted in Euros and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

Price Guarantee

We will beat any genuine like-for-like training quote by 15%. The competing quote must be from a registered training provider in Ireland and must be verifiable.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Cancellation by You

  • More than 48 hours notice: Full refund or rescheduling at no extra charge.
  • 24 to 48 hours notice: Rescheduling permitted; no refund for cancellations.
  • Less than 24 hours notice: The full session fee is payable. No refund or rescheduling.
  • No-show: The full session fee is forfeited.

Cancellations must be communicated by phone or email. We understand that emergencies arise and will consider exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

Cancellation by Us

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a training session (e.g., due to adverse weather conditions, illness, or vehicle issues), we will offer you the choice of rescheduling at the earliest available date or a full refund for the cancelled session.

Course Withdrawal

If you wish to withdraw from a training course after it has commenced, please contact us to discuss your options. Refunds for partially completed courses will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, less any sessions already delivered.

5. Training Delivery

  • Training sessions are conducted in-car on a one-to-one basis with a qualified trainer.
  • You must hold a valid, full Irish driving licence and bring it to every training session.
  • You must be fit and able to drive at each session. If you arrive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or are otherwise unfit to drive, the session will be cancelled and the full fee will be forfeited.
  • Training locations and routes are determined by the trainer to best prepare you for the ADI examination.

6. Examination Results

While we strive to provide the highest quality ADI training, we cannot guarantee that you will pass the RSA ADI examinations. Success in the Stage 1 (theory), Stage 2 (driving), and Stage 3 (instructional) exams depends on many factors including your own preparation, practice, and performance on the day. No refund is offered in the event of an unsuccessful examination attempt.
